An original Cinerama three-panel camera is pulled from
the warehouse to donate components that will go into construction of the optical
printer. While Cinerama's six-perf film doesn't require a special printer, this
piece of equipment was built for one specific purpose, to convert Cinerama's
standard format prologues to six-perf so that they can be married to the center
panel rather than require a separate projector.
From a camera born in 1953, Crest has painstakingly
created the camera side of the new optical printer.
