Day 1 in Venice. It was all travel, a long trip from LA with a stopover in Frankfurt.

We met up with Michael Wilder of Image Trends and his wife, Peggy and we all registered at the festival.

Gondola ride

Day 2 in Venice was a day off for sight seeing and being tourists. We ate at Venetian restaurants and visited film locations. A gondola ride retraced the path that the Cinerama camera took along the canals of Venice in "This Is Cinerama".

Admission ticket.

Then, the main event was the screening of South Seas Adventure in the festival’s Sala Perla Theater. This was the first of three scheduled screenings over the next three days. We have been advised that our return flight was canceled due to an airline strike. Therefore, there will be a Venice day 5 tomorrow.

Venice day 5 was originally planned to be our travel day back home. Our flight was unexpectedly cancelled due to an airline strike. We were rebooked on a flight for the following day and spent day 5 passing the time in Venice. We returned to St. Mark’s Square to see an old “This Is Cinerama” film location.
