Our dear mother and grandmother passed away.

Beatrice Stocklin Troller passed away on August 18, 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer. Beatrice was born on February 18th, 1932 in Basel, Switzerland, where she attended Kunstgewerbeschule, the school of arts and crafts. With her late husband, artist Fred Troller, she starred in the second Cinerama feature "CINERAMA HOLIDAY" (1955), directed by Robert L. Bendick and Philippe De Lacy. In the documentary feature, the Trollers toured the United States, while an American couple visited Switzerland and Paris.

After she moved to the United States in the early 1960s, Beatrice Stocklin Troller studied photography at New York University and with Evelyn Hofer at the State University of New York at Purchase. She received a Certificate of Excellence from the American Institute of Graphic Arts. Her expressive and experimental personal photography has been displayed in exhibits at the Swiss Institute of New York, the Hiram Halle Memorial Library in Pound Ridge, New York; the Swiss Institute in New York, the Rye Arts Center Gallery, the Wainwright House in Rye, New York; and the Parrish Art Museum in Southhampton, New York.
