DP70 no. 1820 is back almost where it was born: it's now on permanent
display in the lobby of "Centrum Hofdael", arthouse cinema / general
art-centre in Geldrop, close to Eindhoven,
The Netherlands. We completed
the machine with parts from various sources, it got new paint (specially
mixed, with color and effect almost indistinguishable from the original
Philips finish) and we built in a 400w halogen light source for
demonstration purposes. In a display case are the box with 35mm parts,
some sprockets, masks, the magnetic sound connection box and different
film formats. 3 posters show the history of the DP70 and reprints of
advertisements and the Oscar-story as published in Philips newspaper
"Elagraph".
