Theatre announces the titles for its 4th Annual 70mm & Widescreen festival!
Moved from September to May for 2019, this year's titles are a selection of
fan favorites celebrating some of the biggest hits of film's biggest format!
The 4th Annual 70mm & Widescreen Film Festival comes to Somerville Theatre
featuring big screen hits 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Dark Crystal, West Side
Story, Dunkirk, Poltergeist, Remains of the Day, Casino Royale & It's A Mad
Mad Mad Mad World. Shows May 17-22, 2019

Muppet master Jim Henson’s beloved cult classic!
Synopsis: Jen (Stephen Garlick), raised by the noble race called the
Mystics, has been told that he is the last survivor of his own race, the
Gelflings. He sets out to try to find a shard of the dark crystal, a
powerful gem that once provided balance to the universe. After the crystal
was broken, the evil Skeksis used sinister means to gain control. Jen
believes that he can repair the dark crystal and bring peace back to the
world, if he can only find the remaining shard.

Synopsis: This wacky send-up of James Bond films stars David Niven as the
iconic debonair spy, now retired and living a peaceful existence. Bond is

involvement of a colorful cast of characters, including the villainous Le
Chiffre (Orson Welles), seasoned gambler Evelyn Tremble (Peter Sellers) and
Bond's bumbling nephew, Jimmy Bond (Woody Allen).

five-year-old Carol Ann (Heather O'Rourke) -- when ghosts commune with them
through the television set. Initially friendly and playful, the spirits turn
unexpectedly menacing, and, when Carol Ann goes missing, Steve and Diane
turn to a parapsychologist and eventually an exorcist for help.

Synopsis: During the 1930s, James Stevens (Anthony Hopkins) serves as a
proper English butler to the doltish Lord Darlington (James Fox). Stevens is
so dedicated that he forgoes visiting his father on his deathbed in order to
serve, and overlooks Darlington's Nazi sympathies and growing anti-Semitism.
Twenty years after his employer's death, Stevens tries to reconnect with
Miss Kenton (Emma Thompson), Darlington's head housekeeper, and begins to
regret his loyalty to his former master.
