The following is a reference / historical listing of the 70-millimeter presentations of “Solomon and Sheba” in North America. The film’s 70mm prints consisted of full-frame imagery derived from Super Technirama photography and featured discrete six-channel stereophonic sound. These were arguably the best cinemas in which to experience this film.

“Solomon and Sheba” was among five confirmed first-run films released in 1959 with 70mm prints for selected engagements. The King Vidor production and United Artists release — directed by King Vidor and starring Yul Brynner and Gina Lollobrigida — opened December 25th.

The majority of these presentations were of the continuous performance/general release variety, though some were roadshow and are marked as such with an asterisk.

The duration of the engagements (measured in weeks) has for some entries been included in parenthesis following the cinema name.

*Roadshow (reserved-seat engagement)

**Roadshow (reserved seating on smoking loge only)

m/o = a move-over engagement (i.e. a continuation of a booking from another cinema)
