The 20th Century-Fox release was directed by Walter Lang (“There’s No Business
Like Show Business,” “Can-Can”) and starred Deborah Kerr, Yul Brynner, Rita

“The King and I” was shot in CinemaScope 55 and originally released in 1956 in
35mm CinemaScope and four-track magnetic stereo.
