The following is a reference/historical listing of the roadshow engagements of “Cheyenne Autumn” held in North America. These presentations utilized 70mm prints derived from 65mm Super Panavision photography projected onto large screens and featured discrete six-track stereophonic sound. The seating was reserved at advanced prices with an average of ten scheduled screenings per week. The cinemas in which these special presentations played also sold souvenir programs. The Warner Bros. release was directed by John Ford and starred Richard Widmark, Carroll Baker, Karl Malden and James Stewart.

“Cheyenne Autumn” was among eight 1964 first-run films released as a roadshow and among seven 1964 first-run films released with 70mm prints for selected engagements.

The world press preview of “Cheyenne Autumn” was held at the Lincoln Theater in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on October 3rd, 1964. (The film’s formal public world premiere was held at the Warner in London on October 15th, 1964.)
