Notes about the filming: The film was shot using almost all the available film formats from B&W Super8 to colour 65mm (around 30% of the film was actually shot on 65, the rest was blown up internegatives from different 16 and 35 masterpositives, most being optically altered using different techniques - reframing, slow-motion, etc.). It took me 6 years to achieve this "labour of love". Three prints are available in 70mm, including one with english subtitles that was once screened at the Egyptian in LA.

Awards: 3 first prizes (in Vendôme, Toulouse and London) + 7 other prices and 40 festivals selections

Synopsis: “All I know, I’ve written down. What remains to be learnt, I cannot tell”. In her house close to the edge of the cliff, Fanny remembers Simon, her fiancé. “They” took him away on their wedding day, a long time ago, during wartime. “So far, curiosity has kept me alive” she says. But now she thinks that her time is passed, “all is finished”. Between fiction and experimental cinema, “Fanny’s wedding” describes a mental landscape based on the lives and works of Thomas Bernhard, Primo Levi and Marguerite Duras, mixing the extraordinary sharpness of 70mm photography and the grainy, dirty aspect of black and white super 8.
