Here
he is, retired opera singer and 70mm fan, Sebastian Rosacker, who rented the
Royal and invited 300 of his friends to come and enjoy "Mag Men" in Todd-AO
with him.

Visitors
from Denmark, Projectionist Tommy and his lovely partner Anne drove 500 km
from Sønder Saltum in Jylland to see 70mm. Tommy once showed "War and Peace"
in 70mm at
Biografen, Nørresundby.

Maria
and Thomas Hauerslev (the editor of this web site) came over from
Copenhagen. Note Sebastian's purpose made poster above the doors - including
a 70mm logo

Among
the guests was
Hans "Hasse" Braman,
former projectionist at the Royal - now retired
|
|
Sebastian
and a fan #1 - his mother.

This
is what it is all about - 70mm - BIG images. Pink, but BIG. The 70mm print
was worn here and there, but generally in OK condition considering it's
probably from the original release in 1965.

in Todd-AO. Orla manages the
"Biffen"
with 3 cinemas, two of which can run 70mm. The largest, and only,

The
audience - more than 300 - very cheery, and they gave Sebastian a
well-deserved round of applause after his introduction.

Linda
and Örjan from Malmö.

|
This
is what it all about - FLYING MACHINES. Note the dark corners of the screen
- this is because it is a 3D "Silver Screen". Unfortunately, the light
reflection is a bit uneven - the "hot spotting" is clearly visible.
