The year has elapsed and the next 70mm Film Fest regularly taking place in Krnov is knocking on the door again. Characteristic festival logo 70 KRRR! originated by Filmochod agency has several meanings: Mainly as an beginning of the name Krnov or assumed as interjection it evokes the typical noise from projectors and in combination with graphic design represents a number 70 arranged with fingers on hand.

After one year, the majestic Mir 70 cinema will become a meeting place for true celluloid film fans from many European countries - especially enthusiasts who love the widescreen format. Three days of a rare opportunity to see great 70mm films projected on 105 square metres of slightly curved screen, and a good chance to remember the history of "old school" film technology in today's sterile digital age.

The origin of this festival dates back to 2005, when a small 7OMM seminar was held, which has since spread abroad and gained popularity not only with visitors from the Czech Republic, but also with visitors from many European countries, including Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Poland, Slovakia, the United States and the United Kingdom. Given the ever-increasing interest in festivals, it seems that the 70mm format will never die...

The unique film meeting is prepared by the Krnov Municipal Information and Cultural Centre under the patronage of the Krnov Town Hall and the Mayor of Krnov, together with the State Cinematography Fund, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Association of Czech Film Clubs, and with the support of many volunteers.
