"Man
in the 5th Dimension" |
22.04.1964 |
World Fair, NYC,
USA |
"Serving as the centerpiece of the
Billy Graham Pavilion, a 70-mm wide-screen film called Man in the
Fifth Dimension was shown hourly from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in a
special 400-seat theater that offered viewers earphones in a choice
of six languages. Each inquirer was counseled afterward in his or
her own language."
"So we went ahead, developing a seventy-millimeter wide-screen
Todd-AO film entitled Man in the Fifth Dimension. Using spectacular
photography to tell the story of God’s creation and His love in
Christ, scriptwriter Jim Collier and director Dick Ross put together
a presentation of the Gospel that touched thousands of lives."

"Circus" |
1973 |
Chicago |
Steve Kraus [11.12.2018] on Facebook:
"Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry had a
theatre as part of their circus exhibit sponsored by Sears [1973]. It was
shot in 5/65 turned on its side to showcase aerial wire acts. But
projection was not 70; they used 16mm triple frame on a specially
adapted Century projector. Film handling was with an endless loop
device atop the projector. Sound was 35mm full coat on a dubber in
the next room with the film running up and down over many rollers. I
don’t recall the track arrangement but there were some holes punched
to trigger effects like a strobe in the theatre."
