Another year has passed, and the next 70mm Film Fest, which regularly takes place in Krnov, is fast approaching. The festival's distinctive logo, created by the Filmochod agency, has several meanings. Primarily, it represents the beginning of the name 'Krnov' or, when interpreted as an interjection, it evokes the characteristic noise made by projectors. In combination with the graphic design, it also represents the number 70, arranged using fingers.

After a year, the majestic Mir 70 cinema will become a gathering place for true celluloid film fans from many European countries, especially those who love the widescreen format. A rare three¬ day opportunity to see great 70mm films projected onto a 105-square¬ meter, slightly curved screen, and a chance to remember the history of 'old school' cinema technology in today's digital era.

The foundation of the festival dates back to 2005, when a small 70mm seminar began. Since then, it has gained international popularity, attracting visitors not only from the Czech Republic but also from many European countries, including Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

This unique cine meeting is organized by the Municipal Cultural Centre of Krnov, under the patronage of the Town Hall and the Mayor of Krnov, in collaboration with the Czech Audiovisual Fund and Ministry of Culture.
